Sabal Medical Launches New sabalKOW™ Medication "Kiosk-on-Wheels"

 

Charleston, South Carolina (June 8, 2010) – Sabal Medical, Inc., a privately held company whose technologies are helping hospitals deliver medications to their patients more safely and efficiently, has launched their newest product; a bedside medication drug kiosk called sabalKOW™. 

 

sabalKOW™ is an automated, mobile drug kiosk that is lighter, more maneuverable, and stores more drugs than any other COW (computer-on-wheels) on the market, with a level of security rivaling that of traditional automated dispensing cabinets.  It comes with easy to use software for fully-audited stocking and access of scheduled medications, floor stock, controlled drugs, and a variety of supplies.   It comes standard with 63 multi-sized containers capable of storing anything from IV Bags to small blister packs and can only be accessed by electronically-authenticated users.  The system was designed for hospitals who have an EMR solution as well as those still looking for one.
